Scoala Romaneasca Nicolae Iorga Liverpool

Departe de locurile natale, dar cu gandul “acasă”, de sărbători. Meşteşugari, etnografi, muzeografi, oameni din toate colțurile țării ne vor prezenta tradiții şi obiceiuri de Paşti din zona din care provin, curiozități şi activități inedite cu care se îndeletnicesc oamenii locului. Pentru o oră Sâmbătă şi o oră Duminică Basarabia îşi dă întâlnire cu Bucovina, Moldova, Muntenia, Dobrogea, Oltenia, Banat, Crişana, Transilvania şi Maramureş într-un eveniment online transmis live de pe pagina de Facebook a Şcolii Româneşti “Nicolae Iorga” Liverpool.

Aşadar pe 24 şi 25 Aprilie, începând cu ora 6 pm UK (20.00 ora României) vă aşteptăm să ne fiți alături virtual de data aceasta. Evenimentul este organizat de Şcolile Româneşti “Nicolae Iorga” din Diaspora împreună cu partenerii noştri L&D Multicultural Centre, RUDA, Asociația Românilor din Insulele Canare RUMACAN, Muzeul Județean Buzău, Asociația ART – Meşteşugurile Prutului, Asociația Rădăcinilor Străbune, Asociaţia IIA Călătoare, Asociația Culturală Timişul, Asociaţia Identitate Culturală Contemporană şi Organizația “Amintiri din Dobrogea”. People to Culture, Culture to People

On 20th of January 2018 we have celebrated the National Culture Day 2018.
Under the name People to Culture, Culture to People, the cultural project funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Identities, aims to bring into the spotlight important XVIII / XIX century personalities who have put their seal on the development of Romanian Culture.
The central figure is the great national poet Mihai Eminescu, along with other great personalities, friends and supporters of his ideals: Ion Creanga, IL Caragiale, Iacob Negruzzi, Vasile Alecsandri, Ioan Slavici, Titu Maiorescu, Mihail Kogalniceanu, etc.
The action has included photo-descriptive panels with images, literary works and aspects of the life of the great cultural personalities, the presentation of the life and work of the poet Mihai Eminescu, Titu Maiorescu, reciting poems with prizes, cello musical program and guitar, canapes.

Women Heroes of Great Romania

 

On 2nd of December 2017 an event dedicated to “Women Heroes of Great Romania in First World War”, took place. Among the Romanian community in the North West of England, the event was attended by Mrs. Cerasela Raducanescu and Mr. Viorel Raducanescu, the Honorary Consulate of Romania in Liverpool, Lord Mayor of Liverpool Malcolm Kennedy and Lady Mayoress Liliana Herescu and Mrs. Andreea Berechet, the General Consulate of Romania in Manchester.
The event has included photo – descriptive panels with images and comments about Women Heroes of Great Romania in First World War, Mrs. Ruxandra Trandafoiu, Edge Hill University, spoke about Women Heroes and Mrs. Carmina Drace-Francis, cello, performed beautiful music from a hundred years ago.
It was a real pleasure to see great people getting together to enjoy such an event.
